Profile

Founded in 1997, Longsight Youth Arts Project specialies in urban youth music production, performance, development and accreditation. The organisation has grown in direct response to the needs of the community around it, inspiring young people to believe in themselves and to aspire to achieve their best.


Statement from LYAP

LYAP works regionally and nationally to provide creative spaces for young people to make the urban music they want. We bring in players from the record industry to produce, to develop talented acts and to offer accredited training in vocal techniques, performance and music technology. Our base in Longsight, Manchester will allow for further development of training programs and increase our capacity to meet the growing numbers seeking our professional expertise.
