Profile

Multi Asian Arts Centre is a professional community arts organisation working across a range of artforms since 1987, primarily with a combination of traditional and contemporary Asian practices.

The organisation aims to provide accredited courses and workshops for young people to learn various arts activities through a structured teaching programme and workshops with professional artists. The project targets Asian communities and all members of the community with limited access to basic skills training in ethnic arts.

Statement from Mohammed Sarwar, Chief Executive

'Multi Asian Arts Centre is an approved training centre through Edexcel which provides training, performances and exhibitions in Asian arts, particularly music, textiles, dance, studio recording, video editing, and national touring with national and international artists.

Multi Asian Arts Centre has recently achieved its Investor in People Award and is continuing to provide accredited courses in Asian arts. Recently Multi Asian Arts affiliated with Lahore Arts Council in Pakistan to exchange future professional arts programmes in the UK and Pakistan'.
