Profile

Multi Culture Poets was founded in 1996 by Prince Marley to provide a platform for poets to work together, to write and to meet to discuss their individual needs in a friendly atmosphere ideal for exchanging verses and indulging in creativity and learning.

Multi Culture Poets performs in, and has members from, the UK and abroad. Its objectives are to create opportunities for poets to perform to an audience regardless of their own cultural or social identity, to bring poets recognition, and to help establish performance poetry on a world stage. The organisation is developing a database to enable poets from the UK and abroad to share their love of poetry and to work alongside each other.

Statement from Prince Marley, Director

Multi Culture Poets as an organisation is committed to getting poets on the performance stage and getting them paid for what they do.

Our motto is don't entertain racism, entertain people.
