Peshkar Productions is a leading North West British South Asian theatre and production company. Founded in 1991 Peshkar Productions produces high-quality performance and participatory arts for the North West and beyond, with a special emphasis on innovative, contemporary work which provides a voice to the British South Asian communities.
At least one major professional production is produced and toured each year. They are increasingly forging new partnerships with theatres and community groups and as a result are delivering more and more participatory work across the region, bringing new audiences and artists to the performing arts.
The company has a particular interest in encouraging a better understanding of the British Pakistani, Indian, Kashmiri and Bangladeshi communities, and although Peshkar Productions present arts from a British South Asian perspective, they aim to bring culturally diverse communities and arts traditions together and to continue to develop activities that are socially inclusive and open to all.

Our work is about expressing the urban attitude coming from the British South Asian perspective, creating small ripples that have a large impact in the wider society. We are at the beginning of a new era and will continue to play a lead role in the South Asian arts arena as a leading creative and cultural powerhouse for the British South Asian community.
We aim to position ourselves at the centre of a new network of high-quality culturally diverse arts, artists, organisations and venues.
