Artist's statement
The one thing I know is that I'm quite preoccupied with being distinctive. Possibly stems from the issue of English eccentricity.
The essence of my work is instinctive in nature. Others are more theoretical than me but I believe that any artist who is good will, like me, want to take chances. I aspire to greatness and see this as a kind of duty.
Performances / compositions
In 2006, Jim appeared with Sonia Hughes on her UK tour of Weeding Cane. Currently he is working with Xumo Nounjio as performance group Nzi Dada, as well as continuing to work with the artist CARMEL.
Jim has collaborated with several performers and has produced work for Lemn Sissay and Benji Reid.
He has performed at several events throughout the UK, including the outdoor element of decibel in 2005 at the Garden of Delights event.
In 2006, Jim performed in the UK tour of Sonia Hughes play Weeding Cane.
