Artist's statement

What do we learn and take from the old school? The older generations. What do we learn and take from today? How do we combine these experiences in a meaningful way through theatre?

I am interested in bringing together professional and non-professional artists from diverse communities across Manchester to create real dialogue between people about the issues they face in the inner city. This process allows otherwise silent voices to be heard and allows my company to be a launch pad for new talent.

Current work

In 2005 Marcus performed his play 'Different Perspectives' at Contact Theatre Manchester. From the success of that he has received a grant from Arts Council England to perform the play at Contact Theatre in 2006.

In between working on the play he has been running workshops and continuing to perform at places such as The Royal Exchange and The Library Theatre in Manchester.
