Artist’s statement
I am a Manchester based visual artist, working in various mediums, from paint on canvas to digital paintings, sculpture and aerosol art. My work is split between my personal KrikSix work, which has the Transformers, music, pain and abstract imagination as its inspiration, and Ananta, which has Hindu theology as its source.
With my Hindu work, I am trying to convey the ideas of infinite power, time and space from ancient Hindu texts, in a modern / futuristic setting. I am currently working to develop a definitive exhibition of Ananta, which I will represent as a 31st Century Hindu Temple, with metal and plastic sculptures and digital paintings of the gods and their icons. I also wish to translate my understanding of the Hindu pantheon as an animated epic.
